Senior Android Engineer


This position is responsible for the development and maintenance of applications aimed at a vast number of diverse Android devices. The primary focus will be the development of Android applications and their integration with back-end services. The position will be working along-side other engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and creating quality products is essential.



  • Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform
  • Implement solutions by writing clear, self-documenting code.
  • Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
  • Accomplish engineering and organization missions by completing related projects as needed.
  • Update job knowledge by studying programming techniques by participating in educational opportunities, following professional trends through various channels, and maintaining personal networks.
  • Develop software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, studying work processes, and investigating problem areas throughout the software development lifecycle.

  • Love being hands on. You have 4+ years of hands on experience with native app mobile development for Android.
  • Strong coding abilities and experience with Java and Android SDK.
  • Proven software development experience
  • Proven working experience in Android development
  • Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
  • A strong background in UI design principles and making apps work intuitively.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

  • Full time position –  40 hours per week but capable/willing to work extended hours (overtime as requested) to meet company peaks.

Required Education and Experience

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering
  • 2 to 4 years of related experience will be accepted in place of degree
  • Exposure to agile development methodologies is ideal
  • Has demonstrable experience using best-in-class programming skills to develop highly innovative, consumer-facing mobile products.
